Founded in 2017, SmartTec was established with a clear purpose—to solve a growing problem in the Indian industrial automation market.

Most large automation companies were concentrated on selling their products and all kinds of sales but it was very clear that there was a very serious vacuum when it came to after sales service, technical support and lasting reliability. Clients were spending money on automation products and could not receive the necessary service and support in a short time.

This gap in the market is what led to the birth of SmartTec. From the very beginning, our vision was simple: to build a service-driven automation company that treats every client—big or small—with equal priority and long-term commitment.

SmartTec began its journey as a system installer, providing installation and service support for gate automation systems, rolling shutters, high-speed doors, dock levelers, and other entrance automation products. During this phase, we worked closely with clients using existing products while offering strong technical service and maintenance support.

Working directly at industrial sites gave us deep on-ground exposure. We got to know about the actual problems that factories, warehouses, logistics parks, and commercial facilities had to experience: it could be the lack of work because of the low quality of goods, the delay of service, or the unprofessionalism of third-party vendors.

Moving Towards In-House Manufacturing

By 2019, it was evident that the use of third-party fabricators and agencies was restricting product quality and consistency. Some of the external fabricators did not have the right skills, quality control system and technical knowledge although the designs were approved by us. This usually became a problem to our clients and we felt that this was unacceptable.

Taking a major step forward, SmartTec started in-house design and manufacturing with a dedicated internal team. This decision allowed us to deliver fully finished products, maintain strict quality standards, and ensure better performance and durability. From design to fabrication, testing, installation, and service—everything came under one roof.

Growth Across India

SmartTec began by operating small and small scale locally and within the premises of their clients. The better the quality of our work and services, the more people started to trust us and project by project our activity started to extend beyond our local community. Since 2022 we began to work on the projects in the various states and became a Pan-India firm.

We are still focused on service. Our operations include 24x7 technical support service since we realize the importance of having a running operation without interruptions. Our team is fast in responding to matters to ensure that there are minimal downtimes.

Our products continue to be enhanced on the basis of actual site experience. We adhere to the German design customs and global standards to ensure that our solutions are robust with regard to harsh industrial environments. We have a great variety of entrance automation products as well as Loading Bay Equipments that apply to many applications in India since each site is unique.

Service is the biggest strength of SmartTec. Our 24x7 service support is offered around India, and in the vast majority of cases, our service engineer arrives on site within 48 hours. This is among the primary factors why many customers choose SmartTec among other organizations.

We supply products installed in North, South, East and West India. We have a call support team which is available to give us quick assistance and minor problems. In case of larger issues, we offer on-location service support in the form of our trained service staff.

SmartTec is also a service and repair provider of other large automation brands that lost the capability to provide appropriate service or spares any longer. A lot of the clients contact us after experiencing service problems with their current suppliers, and they do not change their suppliers as soon as they get assisted by SmartTec.
